Donna-FriasDonna Frias

Donna Frias began her dancing career as a young child. As a teen she became a member of the Fresno Civic Ballet Co. and performed with the Fresno Opera Association.

She went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts from the prestigious California Institute of the Arts. There she was hand picked to be in Bella Lewitzky’s Dance Co. This lead to tours all over the U.S. and abroad. Donna performed for the Civic Light Opera, Dorthy Chandler PAvilion in Los Angeles, Madison Square Gardens in New York City and also performed in several television specials. She traveled all over the United States, Europe, and Australia performing with Los Gauchos Latinos with her husband and two beautiful daughters.

After settling in Las Vegas in 1995, Donna opened her first dance studio, Desert Shores Dance Academy, which remained successful for over 12 years. In 2007 she decided to move locations and expand her business. She is now proud to present The Pointe Dance Center.

Donna has been selected to be the permanent substitute for The Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts where several of her students attend.


MichelleMichelle Mota

Originally from Las Vegas, Michelle Mota began her dance training at the age of two years old at Desert Shores Dance Academy (owned by Donna Frias). During her elementary and middle school years, she competed on the Desert Shores Dance Academy (now known as The Pointe Dance Center) advanced competition team and won many first place awards in competitions around the West Coast. She continued her training at Las Vegas Academy of Performing and Visual Arts. She was placed in the highest level of dance studies by her senior year, and performed in various shows from her freshman to senior year. She was cast as a dancer in the dance drama “Touched” in 2012, written by Jeneane Gallo Huggins. At the age of 15 Michelle Mota began teaching classes of her own at The Pointe Dance Center. She has been teaching and choreographing for students of all ages for the past six years.

Cheyenne DeenCheyenne Deen

At the young age of 4 years old, Cheyenne found her passion for dance. She began her dance training with private ballet lessons with Ms. Penny Guerard in a studio her father built in her home. At age 13 she moved to Las Vegas where she began competing on the Pointe Dance Center dance team and Nevada Ballet Theaters summer dance intensive. She later on attended Las Vegas Academy of the Performing Arts as a dance major learning new styles of dance such as contemporary and various styles of modern. Currently she dances with two local companies. A soloist with The Pink Tutu Ballet company performing in shows locally such as The Nutcracker and traveling to NYC to perform. Company dancer with Sample Dance performing in shows under artistic director Greg Sample. In the month of October you can find her dancing in the Freak Show at Frightdome CircusCircus. Soon she will be traveling to India to train and get certified as a yoga instructor. She has been an instructor with The Pointe Dance Center since 2010 and loves teaching all levels and sharing her passion for dance!

JordanJordan Balaktchiev

Jordan’s career began in 1980 in the famous acrobatics club: Sliven Bulgaria. Between 1980 and 1984 he was a member of the National Team of Bulgaria for mixed pair acrobatics. He became a national champion several times in the Masters Division and he won several European and international competitions. This gave him the opportunity to study in the Bulgarian Sports Academy for an acrobatics coach. Right after his sports career, Jordan joined the field of entertainment. Soon he won first place in the Circus Variety Festival in Bulgaria performing with his solo hand balancing act. Since then, until 2000, Jordan performed in different variety shows, circuses, and theaters in Europe and around the world. Since 2000, Jordan moved to the United States where he created an extraordinary hand to hand balancing act with his son, Nasko. In ten years of performing together, their stage experience includes performing for Cirque Du Soleil (Solstrom TV Show, Special Events), NBA games, UNICEF, circuses, several casinos on the Las Vegas strip, television shows, and corporate events. Since 2000, Jordan also teaches gymnastics and sports acrobatics in a local gym in Las Vegas. However, his specialty is solo hand balancing and hand to hand balancing. His ability and knowledge allows him to teach students from all over the world. Jordan has been performing with this son for over 17 years, and has experience working with different age groups in gymnastics, acrobatics, tumbling, and circus arts programs for the past 15 years.

Roddy CarterRoddy Carter

Born Washington D.C February 1983.

Raised into church and surrounded we love and performance. Roddy grew up in the streets of D.C learning the Art of dance and Performance. He has gone through all stages of school looking forward to performing one day. In high school Roddy was discovered by a teacher that loved the art of dance and stage performance. He started dancing in his first stage show in his 9th grade at Friendly high school in Fort Washington M.D where his family and friends watched. As the years become Roddy gained a lot of knowledgeable works about dance, singing and the art of stage performance, it was tough for him but he grew a lot then and now after. I Roddy has performed for many of companies after high school and sung with the greatest artist. 18yrs of Stage performance and travel with learning of Hip hop, Jazz, Tap, Partnering and more, teaching assisting choreographers and also Managing and Teaching under my brand D4RSTUDIOS/Creations.

Jillian TirinJillian Tirin

Jillian is currently studying as a musical theatre major at UNLV and has over 10 years of experience as an actor, dancer, guitarist, composer, vocal coach, pageant coach & music director. She has competed in both vocal and dance competitions since the age of seven winning copious amounts of awards and scholarships and has been critically acclaimed both on the stage and in the recording studio. She signed with a Sony distribution label based in Nashville during 2015 and currently still actively records as well as performs all over the country. She has opened for many acts including Kelsea Ballerini, Halsey, Brandon Flowers, Josh Turner, Granger Smith, Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, and more. Vocally, she specializes in musical theatre, pop, country, rock, and alternative genres, as well as acting. Jillian is represented by the well known entertainment entity, William Morris Endeavor LA & Nashville. During her early years, she trained at Elite Performing Arts Academy where she received an education in ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, musical theatre, and tap for 16 years. She starred in many musical theatre productions and landed lead roles at professional studios all across the country. Some of the productions she was a part of include; Annie (role-Annie), Les Miserables (role-Young Cosette), The Sound of Music (role-Gretl), Into the Woods (role-Little Red Riding hood), The Secret Garden (role-Mary), and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. Not only has Jillian worked the stage, but she also continues to work the camera! Living in LA she landed roles in major productions with Sketchers, Tostidos, MTV MUSIC AWARDS , AT&T, Nickelodeon, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, and Disney. She has worked with kids from every age level and ability from elementary and High School, to seasoned Broadway veterans. Currently she is living in Las Vegas and and loves training kids in vocal, dance, and acting!
